I'd be asking for a refund in I were in the gallery. I could have watched people I've never heard of play at the local course for a lot less $$.

Lots of vineyards around this county & state. Is that what you mean?

Disregard that question. But, yes, that is what I meant.

What type of clubs do you use? I know a lot of people spend hundreds of dollars on the latest fad regularly. I bought my clubs (Dunlop) at a discount dept. store years ago, and they work well for me. Those expensive clubs don't make a difference with my game.

I only use three clubs. Driver, nine iron, and putter. You believe that don't you? :p

I always ask my more well-healed friends who buy the latest Ping or Callaway or Taylor Made club-of-the-month creation, "Didja buy a new swing, too?" A fundamentally sound swing (watch old films of Sam Snead) will beat your brains out with ancient hickory shaft clubs. ;)

You could be on the right track. I once watched one of those made-for-TV golf events where the competitors could use just 2 clubs. One of the pros (name escapes me @ this AARP moment) shot a 2 over par 74, using just a
5-iron & putter. So much for needing 14 in the bag....

Some of those high tech clubs look they could do something. As you say though, it don't mean a thing if you don't have the swing. :D

At the pathetic level of my game :( , more strokes can be saved by spending a good deal of time @ the pitching/putting green than on the practice tee. The ultimate irony in golf is that the 5' putt counts exactly the same as the 300-yd drive. Which of those is any of us more likely to make/hit o_O

Well, I usually carry all the clubs with me (they won't let me on the course otherwise) but I usually use just a 3-wood, 9-iron, and putter. I never can hit a driver. Way too long for me I think.

What...they have club-counting police where you play? The muni courses I play on only care about how many greenbacks ya carry in your wallet! :D :D

I was just kidding! They don't make enough clubs for me. I need an anti-slicer countered with anti-hooker, ----you get the idea! :D

Anybody have a hole-in-one? I've played off & on for 40 years and never made one. My goofy 20-yr old nephew played about a year and made one! An uncle started playing the game after retiring @ age 65 and has made THREE!!! I've hit the cup & spun out and hit the flagstick, only to bounce away. Gawwwwwd, there's no justice.... :( :'(

Ha! My $6 driver gives me a lot more than 6 trajectories. That's why I don't use it!

My trajectories are all horizontal ... slice or hook! :D

My best shot with a driver is the "dribble" off the tee. That is where you top the ball and remove half of the cover in the process. :D
