Notifications when Bad Signature problem occurs

    With yesterdays bad signature problem, a question comes up.

    Why isn't there a way that we can be notified via email or text message that a signature problem has occured and suggesting we check our servers and workstations?

    That is just fine and dandy, if some one were to go to the support page.

    But what about those of us busy on other work, which in my case I was out of the office, that did not know there was any problem and had no inkling that maybe there is a reason to check the support page?

    Had there been a email notification sent out, I could have easily dealt with the issue earlier.

    Depending on where you are, some distributors might actually have a warning system for this. You chould contact your reseller / distributor about this.

    Sorry, but no the issue I am asking about was not discussed there. That is a discussion about the actual signature problem that occured on Tuesday.

    I am asking about a way of sending out notifications (such as on a opt-in list) to all notifiying them about a problem that is/has occured, such as the signature problem that occured on Tuesday.

    The purpose of this Forum and the ESET Support Site are for these purposes. I cannot remember the last time I recieved an unsolicited email from a software vendor addressed to myself informing me of such an issue. Had you had an open Support Ticket, then you would have had open dialogue with ESET via phone and or email.
