Hi, i saw VE posted in here https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=326618 & after perusing their www & decided it "seemed" Really good. I DL'd the trial version of it & SP. WSA alerted me to both of them being Untrusted in it's database when i installed & ran them. Are these FP's or ?

"Unknown"/"Untrusted" is not the same as "Bad". Most AV only knows "Bad" and "Unknown" and assumes that everything that is unknown is Good. WSA has "Bad", "Unknown", and "Good". So "Untrusted" or "Unknown" are just a way of saying "A threat researcher has not had a chance to look at this and decide that Webroot will say it's definitely safe".

FWIW the MD5 hashes come back as clean at virustotal.

Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Just submit logs to WSA to have them whitelisted quicker.

Hi, thanks but that method seems a bit convoluted ! I found the Submit a File tab & sent it. Boy was it fast  Less than 1 sec ! I guess it just did an MD5 & sent that, NOT the file ? Anyway, perfect for me :)

I was trying to be nice as the policy of reporting or asking about FP's are not allowed in the forums you must use the link I posted earlier! The forums are for product support!
