I'd sure like to know if that is true or not. There is a thread on 360 over at dslreports started by a Symantec employee. I asked in that thread if the lack of right click scanning is true. I've been ignored. I would probably try it (now that avira won't stop accessing my floppy drive every sixty seconds just because I use Nero) but I don't want any AV without right click scan ability. I probably wouldn't like all the "extras" in it...but who knows?

And that's a fact. That's even better than the right scan of files and dirs. Again: 360 is a great product for the majority of the normal PC users. And I like it too ;)

    edwin, however.......

the NIS 2007 does have right click scanning, plus automatic scanning of files downloaded.

i cant see 360 being better than their suite

360 has more security. And from March 30 even more.

Maybe for you it is, but with subnetted PCs on a home network that don't all run Norton 360, files have many ways to make it onto those PCs without being directly downloaded from the Internet: file sharing, USB thumb drives, CD or DVD-rom drives, or wireless to name just a few.
To not include a right-click scanning option is a blatant oversight, and a deal-breaker IMO.

I just asked this after you said "...and it protects the PC's very good".

I thought you did sorta home-made test ;)
