Expect the final product then soon.

Bummer. I like getting Norton for free. I will have to tap my office license, that I got for $2 after rebate.

Daaaang! Just got 5 home machines on the latest 120 day beta 2 days ago.:argh: Guess I can shop around for renewals until I feel like I need to update to production, or will the beta keys run out into production updates?

EDIT: Well, announcement says please remove beta and it won't update to production. I think I have like 20 days left on my 2010 licenses so I guess I'll have to revert and go shopping.

The good news is Norton licenses can be had for really cheap online, if you decide you want to stay with NAV or NIS.

Yep, I see $25.53 Amazon Download for 3 PCs and cheaper yet for those adventurous enough to bite on eBay, not sure which way I'll go yet, probably Amazon given the low risk factors.

Between ebay, buy.com, amazon, frys, newegg, etc. you can almost always find Norton for under $20. I recently got it from Frys for $2(tax) after rebate. I also have gotten 3pc/2year licenses on ebay for $6 & $8. And I contacted Norton with the keys to verify they are legit.

Buy has 3pc NAV for $20 + $5 shipping. $17 for download at amazon.

Thanks for the tips, looks like I can cover 3 out of 5 from Fry's for $0 after rebates and I'll check eBay.

I have around six months left on my 2010 license. Does anyone know if I can use that to upgrade to 2011?

This has so far always been updated short after release to the latest version - 90 days is a good long trial :cautious:

I am using Norton Antivirus 2011 beta. The subscription expires in 111 days. I wonder if it will keep updating and working although the beta testing is finished?

Yes, 2010 license will upgrade to 2011 version for the balance of your existing license.

BETA is not supported and may not update as regularly as the final version (just pulse updates , not full Live Updates)

I also remember reading somewhere that the Beta version is hard coded to expire on such and such date regardless of the time left on the lic. I remember it being sometime in September

Might as well close this thread as the official release has started and should be worldwide soon.
