    In my understanding letting your microwave oven connect to Internet is way worse than connecting to Internet with Windows 10. And that's already a bad idea.

    I mean, what's the worst thing that can happen? Your popcorn gets burned?

    Or it could just get powered on by attacker and they can let it run as long as possible, repeating it many times. If nothing else it could affect your electricity bill.
    It would probably just be added to botnet and your IP address could end up on some lists of blacklisted IP addresses.
