NOD32 v5 Tools>Protection statistics question

Greetings,

I just recently got this antivirus program and my following question is that when i go into the "Protection statistics" it shows "Antivirus and antispyware protection" selected, right below that it shows a graph

shows numbers of infected objects
shows numbers of cleaned objects
and lastly shows numbers of clean objects

below that it shows

Total:
Scanned Object:
Statistics started on:

so far i am at 108k+ on total and it's been on Crogram Files since it started, is this a scan that's going to happen every time i start up my pc?
