Nod32 v5 KILLS SLINGBOX PLAYBACK

This is a bug with Nod32 that needs to be addressed immediately. Anybody with a slingbox will find that their slingbox playback will be taken away when they install Nod32 V5. Even if you "temporarily disable protection" IT STILL BLOCKS IT!

here is the workaround:

-Open the ESET main window-Open the Advanced Setup menu, which is done by clicking the green check in the upper right hand corner and then Advanced Setup

-Expand the Web and email section-Expand the Protocol Filtering sub section

-Click Excluded applications

-In the list that opens, put a check mark next to:

–C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\plugin-container.exe–C:\Program Files (x86}\Sling Media\SlingAgent\SlingAgentService.exe

–C:\Program Files (x86)\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\SlingPlayer.exe

How do we do this with NOD32 (not Smart Security)?

Solution 1 in the article posted by foneil should be enough with NOD32 Antivirus. If not, the issue is most likely firewall related and therefore not related to NOD32 Antivirus.
