    Hi,

Ive been having continual issues with Nod32 Business Edition v3.0 and our machines hanging during start up, they freeze at 'applying computer settings'

Eventually they will load however this can take up to 1hr just to boot the machine. They also hang on shutdown, saying 'Windows is now shutting down' however the machine will never close, only way to get past it is to pull the power.

They also say, firewall configuation not found, we dont use firewalls on our internal machines and they are all using the AV not the NSS (nor have they ever had the ESS on them).

I have seen various post around the forums:

Would appreicate some sort of answer on this one from ESET as there doesnt appear to be any aknowlegement that I have found that there is an bug here.

    Some background info:

    • Running 350 clients on a domain, using SBS 2003 and the Remote Administrator Console.
    • The machines are a mixture of Windows XP Pro SP2 and SP3.

    • Same issue occours on all machines, this is with fresh XP installs.
    • ESET Support have given me new config file to push out, this again has wiped all the settings that I wanted and still hasnt corrected the issue.

    • Same issue happens when using version 4.0
    • doesnt happen with version 2.7 but dont want to role back to this.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I need a to be able to try and apply a fix to all 350 machines however there are only two of us in the IT dept, and a good 50 users work from home.

    Appreciate any thoughts.
