I've read many good things about NOD32, so with the end of my subscription with Trend Microsystems (PC-Cillin) I figured I'd give NOD32 a try.

After downloading, installing, and updating NOD32, I scanned my HD and it found 2 infected files that it was able to delete, since it couldn't clean them. I then ran NOD32 again and it didn't find anymore viruses.

To test it, I decided to run the free virus scan that McAfee offers online. To my surprise it found the following viruses:

    C:\Documents and Settings\...\LaunchJpu[1].htm JS/Downloader-FU
    C:\Documents and Settings\...\object[1].hta JS/IEstart.gen.d
    C:\Documents and Settings\...\delayed[2].htm JS/Noclose.gen
    C:\...\ScriptBodyJsp[1].htm VBS/Psyme
    C:\Documents and Settings\...\HP1[1].CHM VBS/Psyme
    C:\Documents and Settings\...\newobject1[1].hta HTML/Debeski

Can anyone explain why an updated NOD32 was unable to detect these viruses? I was planning on trying this anti-virus, but this worries me.
