    Hi there, welcome to Wilders.

Please contact the Reseller or Distributor from whom you purchased NOD32.

    Cheers :D

For me is not possible to do that, because I purchased my laptop and the software time ago while staying in Poland.

Now it's time to update my antivirus but it requires a username and a password that I forgot and that I won't be able to retrieve because I definitely cannot get in touch with the polish retailer of Nod32 (I live in Italy!!)

I really don't know what to do.
I don't want to buy a new Nod32, it's not fair to pay again for something I already bought once.

If there's something you could suggest me to help me I will be grateful.

Please drop an email to support[at]eset.com with a link to this thread and we will pass it to the Italian distributor.

    THEY REPLIED:

I can WHAT? Purchase a renewal? I just need to retrieve my username and psw!
    THIS IS NOT FAIR!
    I HAVE PURCHASED NOD32
AND NOW THEY WANT MY MONEY AGAIN? o_O!
Just because I lost my u&p?
    .......

Edited: Quoting direct communication with Eset including person names is forbidden, thus I took liberty to remove that part.

Unfortunately it's common practice for computer manufacturers to install "free" trial software (like AV scanners) that's not actually "purchased" with the computer. The idea is that if you like it, you then upgrade to a full version that you pay for.

For example, I've just bought a Lenovo laptop with (pardon me) Norton AV which, of course, I've uninstalled and replaced with NOD32.

I know this seems unfair, but it's the way it's done I'm afraid. It could have been worse - you might have had Norton pre-installed:blink:

If you actually purchased NOD32, contact the distributor you purchased it from. You provided a very strange email address in the form XX.XX.XX.XX.XX.XX@gmail.com, we don't have such an address in our records.

You will need to provide as much as possible of the following information so that your license can be located and we can assist you further:

    • First Name:
    • Last Name:
    • Website Purchased from:
    • Email addressed used for purchase:
    • Username that begins with AV- and can be located within the NOD32 Control Centre> Update> Setup area.
    • License that was sent to you.

Without at least some of the above information your license can not be located.

You can send me a Private Message with the above details.

    Cheers :D
