nod32 scanning time

    to give another answer to the OP's question, an AV can perform differently depending on your hardware, system load, etc.

    but i think we can agree that nod32 is fast and for first time scans it will usually beat KAV.

    But for most KAV users, and not the Clone KAV users, since iSteams and iChecker are the default options, the actual scan speed is noticeably faster.

    And if you think NOD is fast, try the "Scan new and changed Files only" option in KAV ;)

    that would only be noticed on a second scan tho. first scan would still be slow.

    I'm wondering - does KAV use some kind of ADS?

    ty for all the info so far it is very useful and kav does seem better.

    i am using f-secure at mo aka kav clone and thought since it ues kaspersky technology to get the great dectection rates i might as well just get kav. but then of course then theres nod32 that is also great but they both are great so i dono yet but probaly kav or kis
