just to let you know i didn't change anything from KIS configuration when i install it.

did you try KIS in leak testing using Vista operating system?

try this if you are using KIS7 with Vista and you will be surprise http://www.firewallleaktester.com/ :)

guys, if you're given a chance what you would choose:

NOD32 with anti stealth problem in Vista

    or

KAV7 with less PDM performance in Vista

For me it doesnt matter. I disable UAC so I dont have the antistealth problem of NOD32, and I dont use PDM so KAV's problem doesnt affect me either.

That said Id for Kaspersky because of its detection rate.

NOD for me but from your posts I think you'd be happier with Kav.

    Hi fce

My response is already in post #13.
However, based on your previous posts (and other learned OP's) you maybe happier with KAV.
LOL .... Hammer beat me to it.
In the meantime, my Vista PC will have NOD, until something of substantive improvement comes along.
    To each his own.
    Cheers :)

NOD32 V2 works 100% on Vista. NOD32 V3 works too, but it's still in beta.
Kaspersky is something I've never gotten to work - In XP & Vista. It doesn't seem to like my freshly formated computer ...

i still have one month to decide.

im might drop NOD and just choose either KIS or KAV.

KIS7 failed in leaktesting (firewallleaktester.com) using vista make make me drop KIS7 in my old laptop....i really dont know if leaktest really that important. Should i give KIS one more try in my new laps? :) i hope with my new 4GB RAM will eliminate any resource hog of KIS7.

Also, Matousec should test all firewall using Vista OS so that we will know which firewall and AV is perfect for Vista.

I dont think leaktests are that important and besides I find KIS to be one of the better suites out there.

my PC will arrive next week and i'm still undecided which AV i will use.

now i'm leaning with Nod32 because Kasp chkdsk error which until now Kaspersky Support said they could not re-create it.

anyway i will buy new router (with firewall) for my wireless internet.

Nod32 + Firewall Router + Window Firewall is sufficient enough for my medium security protection.
