I just downloaded the trial version of NOD32 and installed it (after uninstalling Norton antivirus suite). Immediately after I installed I couldn't connect to tne internet or email. I uninstalled NOD32 and all is well. Additionally, with it intstalled I got the icon in my tray that said "limited or no connectivity". Is there a setting I need to adjust? I'd like to go with NOD32 as my computer runs so much faster without Norton!!

    Hello !
There are a few things which are damaged/corrupted on your computer and which you need to fix . It is easy to do

Uninstall your trial copy of NOD32
First you need to make sure your Norton is completely removed . Make sure you have all traces uninstalled from Add/Remove programs in Control Panel . Make sure you manually delete all traces in C:\Program files with names Symantec,Norton or LiveUpdate

Symantec has created special tools for removing their products , run them:

    REMOVE NORTON version 2006 , 2005 and 2004
    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...sf&view=docid&dtype=&prod=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl=

REMOVE NORTON version 2003 and earlier
    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2001092114452606

After that , repair your Winsock which is obviously corrupted . NOD32's IMON needs it and that's why you need to have it in a great condition :) Norton don't operate there and that's why it doesn't need it :)

    Windows XP SP2 only
    Start –> Run
    type cmd Click OK
    Type
    netsh winsock reset
Press ENTER . Restart immediately !

    Windows XP and XP SP1
Download and run this tool (Winsock XP fix)

After that install NOD32 as shown here

    Enjoy your NOD32 ! :D
