    Hi All,

Last night I uninstalled Nod32 v.3-669, deleted the folders I could find, deleted registry entries found by JV16, and reinstalled.

I booted it up, clicked on the "Update" module, the one on the left side, but before I could click on "Update Virus Signature Database", it downloaded database 3311 on it's own. Great it's fixed!

Turned on the computer this morning, and after an hour and a half, it's still at 3311 and says it's "Up To Date", even though 3312 and 3313 are clearly available.

I've included a couple of screen shots.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to do next?

Open the user interface , press F5 to open the Advanced Setup tree , clear the update cache and press OK

    clear_upd_cache.png

Then goto Update section and try to update (you might want to click "Update virus signature database" a few times) . As it was explained by ESET Mods there is a server overload due to big update for v2 users .

    Thanks HighTech_boy,

I followed your instructions and after three or four clicks it updated to 3313.

I guess I was thinking that the overload problem was behind us, after seeing Marcos' post, (#125), this morning, and so thought perhaps there was some other problem.

Do we, (Eset), have any idea when this is going to be resolved?

    Hello Everyone,

Just got a popup balloon that Nod32 has, automagically, updated to 3314!

Looks like it just might be fixed!

    Thanks Eset!

Still having server update issues and haven't been contacted back about my ticket. I can't find a number to call in for corporate customers.

It looked like it was fixed before, but seems to crumple every time the Americans wake up. :doubt:

Still seems spotty. I spent about a hour this morning mashing the update button trying to get new definitions on my mirror server.

    Hello,
I'm thinking problem is not solved.
yesterday (30th) I updated my 2 computers from 667 to 669 (french) and I cleaned database cache before manually updating to virus database 3310...
Everything seemd to be OK with the new release. But, this evening, I started my 2 computers but none of them did an automatic update !!!

I deleted once again the database cache and manually updated both of them to 3315 virus database...

So what is really the problem ? Server overload ?

    Regards

An update to the advanced heuristics module was released today, I am guessing the additional load from that is causing the problems from tuesday to resurface. It would be nice if they could stagger the release of module updates a bit of to avoid these issues.

Well, servers are differents for 669, compared to 667 users ?
Manually updates work fines as automatic updates not ?
    I don't think so...

I have version 2.70.39 and do not want V3 so what the F*$@#, if it is such a big download MB put it somewhere where we can download manually, last time I was able to update was July 27th, come on now ESET stop dancing and get to the solution to people who do not and will not update to V I will go to another anti virus program if that is you only solution

Are you saying a single person was screwing things up and overloading servers?
