NOD32 Manually scan stops randomly

    That's because while it looks like a folder, it's not a folder. ;p

    Start cmd.exe and use this command> "dir D: /a:h"
    You'll see this
    04/10/2006 07:15 PM <JUNCTION> Documents and Settings

    It's not a folder, it's a Junction point. (Google "Junction point" for more info on them)

    The junction points to D:\Users
    So really, the path "D:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\AppData\Local"
    is arriving at "D:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local"
    And inside "D:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local" is another junction, named "Application Data" that points back to "D:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local" where it again finds the "Application Data" junction..ad infinitum.


    So you have the cyclic recursion you see in that pathname

    Maybe Nod32 should stop following junction points

    Ok, but NOD32 2.51.26 DO NOT close during scan.
