nod32.exe error in windows 2000

i had installed nod32 on a windows 2000 system but every time i try to do a scan i get the " nod32.exe has encountered a problem" it also mentions to re-install the program . i had tried uninstalling along with deleting the eset folder under program files. but re-installing the nod32 gives me the same problem.

Can you post more information about the problem?
Maybe your system is infected by a malware that conflict with NOD32. Try to scan your system in safe mode.
