I am running win2k sp4, and NOD32 2.5, Spybot S&D, AdAware, Ewido, a-squared scans are all clear. BitDefender's online scan however continually produces 2 results, which always say "disinfection failed", "deleted", "update failed".

The results indicated are as follows:
Can I just ignore these results as false positives?

    Thanks,
I was going to ask what address, but I found it on BitDefender FAQ page.

    :D

    [edit: removed the e/m address]

Thought I'd just follow-up with what happened. I got onto the folks in BitDefender with these results, then did a more recent scan which was clear. So they were, as I suspected, false positive results.

There's never any harm in a second (or third) opinion. :)

I never encountered false postives by BitDefender, I think it's wise to send to their lab, or check them on Jotti's/VirusTotal.

Jotti and VirusTotal are both clear, and BitDefenders support seemed happy enough that it was probably a false positive when the result disappeared with a new scan, so they left it at that. No scan's going to be perfect Sputnik! ;)
