Last night when I defragged my PC, it said I had over 52,000 files on my PC. When I look at my NOD32 logs, it says it scanned just under 47,000. Here is the command line I'm using. Am I missing anything here that would cause NOD to overlook files? Thanks!

    c:\ /clean /ah /all /subdir+ /heur+ /scanfile+ /scanmem+ /scanboot+ /scroll+ /arch+ /pack+ /mapi- /pattern+ /scanboot+ /scanmbr+ /heurdeep /log+ /prompt /quit

PS. I have only one drive on my PC. "C:"

No you have the right settings, NOD doesn't scan into all compressed files. Even with the all/ setting.

Thanks Flyfan. I had no idea I had so many compressed files on my PC. And that's OK because I understand if a baddie is inside on of these NOD32 will pounce on it when executed. Thanks again!

The above command produces a false positive that cannot be clean so Nod prompt me for appropriate action.

I have it set as a schedule scan in the middle of the night. What command can I use so that the scan will continue to the end, all infection will be noted so that I'll be able to deal with it at a more appropriate time....

    Thanks

Can you please submit you scan log to support@nod32.com

    Try the following:

    c:\ /scanfile+ /ah /all /subdir+ /heur+ /scanmem+ /scanboot+ /scroll+ /arch+ /pack+ /mapi- /pattern+ /scanboot+ /scanmbr+ /heurdeep /log+ /quit

    I have replaced /clean with /scanfile+ and I have removed /prompt

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

Hello Blackspear! You have /scanfile+ listed twice. Is this correct?

I'm not sure, but I think we're going a little off topic here. Oh, what the he**.

That sounds like your implying that I'm not! Just read a few of the threads I've posted to, and if THAT doesn't substantiate my credentials, I don't know what will! :D :D

Based on that remark, and your superior knowledge of security issues, it's obvious that you need to turn your PC off and get out more! :D
