    Hi,
I have installed nod32 on a clients machines, they have some specialised equipment for scanning bone, then the machines sends the data to a pc, when I installed nod the machine cant send the data, uninstall and it can.

it did have norton2005 installed and it worked with that, and it does work with avg.free.

so I reinstalled nod32, machine cant transfer, so I went through all of the amon, imon etc and disabled them all, and still the machine cant transfer data, uninstall nod and it can.

Is there a setting I'm missing, or is nod32 just not compatable, I suspect ports are being blocked, I dont now what ports the machine is using either.

    ANy thoughts?

    Thanks
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
did you actually uninstalled IMON by clicking the Quit button and rebooted the computer? With a red icon, IMON is still installed, but inactive.

The problem could be that you didn't uninstall Norton properly. Please refer to Symantec's website and use the special uninstall tool to remove all leftovers. Alternatively, you can repair Winsock per Blackspear's instructions at https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=37509&page=4
