    What I need is a laptop battery that can last for at least 24 hours (preferably 1 week) and would not lose its capacity as it ages. One can only wish, right?

    Yes unfortunately I think you're right, but it's going forward that's for sure even if it's going quite slow :)

    We have all sorts of technology at rapid development that reach end users like there is no tomorrow. Yet, when it comes to battery, it just plain sucks for the consumers. I am tired of charging...but I guess I will just have to wait. Thanks for the replies and links btw. :)

    I heard about researches coming with some new battery at least once a month. I honestly don't care anymore, wake me up when I can buy something that lasts more than 3 hours on a single charge. My new iphone won't even last 2 hours when taking over skype.
