    - MS made a "mistake" when it compiled the "Rollup Update Preview" for Windows 7 issued in late April. I had to remove that update in order to get Windows to behave normal again.

Patch Tuesday is always the second tuesday of the month. The last day of March was a tuesday, so this month, it is later than average.

    Thanks mood.

But the two updates for Seven don't work: I tried twice to install them, but every time after the reboot Windows said: impossible install the updates. My system is the same of May updates, no new softwares, no new settings.
Well, I have my multi layer defense, I can live also without these updates !! :D

Run Tweaking's Windows Repair. Perhaps that will fix your problem.

    Thank you mood.

On win7, I didn't have any problems installing the "security only" and "ie11" patches.

Thank you. Some particular option ? I think that could be a corrupted download of the updates.

Tried but didn't solve. And scan disk neither. I don't try Sfc Scannow because in my experience sometimes it modifies also third part softwares files.

Some remarks but I'm not sure (sorry!) whether this is the right thread. For now I'm posting it here because it is about the Security Only Updates.

There is an article at AskWoody started by PKCano on 10 July 2019:
Microsoft surreptitiously adds telemetry functionality to July 2019 Win7 Security-only patch
    https://www.askwoody.com/2019/micro...nality-to-july-2019-win7-security-only-patch/
    https://www.askwoody.com/forums/top...nality-to-july-2019-win7-security-only-patch/

It's about the so-called "Compatibility Appraiser".

There is an older article by Martin at ghacks in which he describes several means to turn off things like this if a person wants.
    https://www.ghacks.net/2016/10/26/turn-off-the-windows-customer-experience-program/

I thought that I followed most of Martin's advices there. But after having updated my Win 7 Pro 64-bit with the July patches (yes, the Security Only) I looked again.
In Task Scheduler I found the following entries to be enabled:
    - Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser
    - ProgramDataUpdater
I really thought that I had disabled them, but to be sure I'll need to put back a back-image. Maybe I will at some moment but not now. I've now disabled them.

Indeed. I did put back a backup-image from 28 June (that was after the June patches and out-of-band June patches).
In Task Scheduler I looked at Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Application Experience.
Both entries "Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" and "ProgramDataUpdater" were disabled (I did those things quite some time ago). See screenshot (Dutch Windows version).
I suspect that they were enabled again by the July patches.

    MS_TS_2019-07-10_01.png

I have to look further. But I'm now going to put back the backup-image which I made after the July patches.

Did you see anything in Process Explorer ? And the firewall shouldn't see them ?

My interpretation was and is that Windows 7 Application Experience telemetry is only collected and uploaded if CEIP, Customer Experience Improvement Program, is enabled. As was also mentioned in the KB2952664 article, before. And I suppose that anyone who worries only in the least about telemetry should have disabled CEIP (or not enabled), anyhow.
