I have been using NIS 11 for a year now.

Lately, it has started to miss some new viruses for some unknown reasons. Its detection is poor for new malware. Having said that, even a free product like MSE is producing better results in proactive detection.

FIS 11, on the other hand, looks amazingly efficient in catching new threats. It's detection rate is great, proactive detection seems way better than Norton, and is great as far as false positives are concerned.

The only thing which concerns me is the performance issue. Even though, it's highly priced(approx. 42 pounds for single user/year versus that of NIS which I can get here in the UK for 23 pounds for 3 users/year), I can still overlook it for a better protection.

    Norton seems overrated to me.

Help me decide with your helpful inputs!

We don't do A v B. From what you wrote you have already practically decided. You'll be fine either way.
