I really like this Security Task Manager.

    http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/index.html

It shows you all the hidden programs and the threat level of security
with an easy interface / nice desription etc.
Perfect for finding keyloggers / trojans - real fast.

The trial lasts a lot longer than stated.

I tried the demo and then bought it. I find it useful. The threat level is up to the user to decide if it is a threat or not.
The extra's are a nice touch.
Reviews that I have read, have recommended it.
    Also, it is affordable.

I would never purchase a security taskmanager. because if you search then you will find all the malware exe's , bho's,... and IF I would purchase a taskmanager then it would be LIUTILITIES WINTASKS PRO 5!!!

    http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/

but dunno to be sure regarding STM. is it updating very frequently? cause malware exe's should be updated at least twice a weak, otherwise you have a false feeling of security. it could be any particular exe in your eyes and point of view but after three weeks you receive a update and untill then you wouldn't know it is a virus? I do not see the point here.
or spyware, it must update like an antispyware app (adaware, spybot) because it has a antispy tool too I believe.

    but just my two cents.

    process explorer from sysinternals:

    http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/procexp.shtml

and if you find an exe you cannot place or you don't know, then type into goodle the exe and see what they say. answersthatwork, sysinfo, wilders, you find a lot info regarding malware exe's.

a lot of features. even apm from dcs is more then OK

wintasks pro is ok, not worth $49.95. STM is worth $29.95.

sure it will show you hidden programs like STM.
It won't give you a security threat level based on embedded hidden functions
e.g. keyboard monitoring, browser supervision or manipulation (all on a nice graphical interface, and explantation for ea rating) as does SMT.

wintasks will just show you the basics - cpu usage, start up, location, terminate process etc - as does STM.

trial them both and see for yourself.

this is not to be used in place of av/at. a nice / easy way to keep an eye on what your processes are up to.
