I can't block this pop-up using uBlock Origin's Element Blocker Every time it uses a different numbering: ! 26/05/2018, 22:26:49 https://www.newegg.com/ www.newegg.com###centerPopup326480 > .centerPopup-body ! 26/05/2018, 22:27:22 https://www.newegg.com/ www.newegg.com###centerPopup533212 > .centerPopup-body ! 26/05/2018, 22:27:34 https://www.newegg.com/ www.newegg.com###centerPopup908548 > .centerPopup-body ! 26/05/2018, 22:28:12 https://www.newegg.com/ www.newegg.com###centerPopup595618 > .centerPopup-body Anyone knows of a workaround?
Why not replace the different numbers with one wildcard (*) and make the filter universal so one will do? [Edit, apply changes]
In Chrome, click on the red uBlock icon on the addons bar. Below the big blue switch, click on the right icon (open the dashboard). Go to the My Filters tab. Find the Newegg filters, like the ones you posted. Pick one. Where it says centerPopup followed by 6 numbers, delete the 6 numbers and replace them with an asterisk, like in the example below. Before: ! 26/05/2018, 22:26:49 https://www.newegg.com/ www.newegg.com###centerPopup326480 > .centerPopup-body After: ! 26/05/2018, 22:26:49 https://www.newegg.com/ www.newegg.com###centerPopup* > .centerPopup-body Then press the Apply Changes button on the top left. You can now delete the other Newegg filters (highlight them and them press your keyboard's delete button) for the popup since you will no longer be needing them. Make sure you press Apply Changes after deleting the unwanted ones.
Thanks for the answer @noway but no, doesn't work, the bleeding pop-ups always come back. btw, I'm using Palemoon, but I presume it makes no difference.
I tried with FF proper but it's the same. I created a more generic filter to precede the other but no difference.
I was able to see the country origin popup when I went there just now. But not the popup in your screenshot. Not sure if the personal data popup would be filtered with this one but you could try: neweggimages.com/WebResource/Scripts/USA/*popup*.js If not, you may need to open the uBlock logger, then go to Newegg and try to figure it out. Even when I disabled uBlock, I never saw your popup so for me there is nothing to filter. You might stop it by disabling javascript at Newegg, but this might break something else. Good luck.
It worked but unfortunately it also breaked other things. I'll see if I can find a workaround, thanks for your help
