    Hello,

Based on numerous recommendations, I purchased and installed ESET NOD32 on my new Sony laptop. Registration went fine but now all I get are error messages stating "Error communicating with kernel". Also, when I open ESET from the Start menu I still get the error message and cannot set anything and my system states that I still have no anti-virus software installed.

Was there something I missed when I installed the software?? I will not be able to reload the software as I doubt that ESET will allow the registration number again...btw, I am running Win7 64bit, SP1

    Can anyone help??

    Many thanks!!

Also, you will need to reinstall to repair that error. Was there another AV before you installed Eset?
