    Nice, thanks.
Disappointing that vendors such as Eset, Norton, Webroot etc choose to be anonymous.

Current Avast version is 1.0.1282 not 1.0.1006.

The chart confused me a bit. Is it one or two charts? Reason I ask is that the left and right data on the grid isn't matching.

Regardless, interesting test. Avast results support pykko's findings as well.

    Thanks, nice work.

One thing. When two products have the same score (e.g., Bitdefender and Dr. Web), shouldn't they be ranked the same (i.e., Bitdefender and Dr. Web would be ranked 6th and Trend would still be ranked 8th)?

Very interesting, i'm still thinking about installing or not an AV on my Galaxy S2. To be honest i don't really think i will install an AV on a cellphone, not with current technology :D

I'm not sure whether this is relevant or not but tonight I saw what looked like a security alert on my phone. But then I realized it was an ad from my "Advanced Task Manager" free version.

Avast process uses 6.6MB. My android 3.2 tablet is not a phone, so none of those settings included. It does run the firewall.

    Battery use is unnoticeable.

Current technology? Do you mean your phone's software or hardware?

I believe the Android platform you're on your phone is using a custom Linux kernel (2.6.35). I think that version of Linux is still being used on servers at the moment.

Also, in terms of hardware, your phone has almost the same computing power as a dual slot Pentium III computer (just basing on clock speed).

I think your phone is more than capable of running Android AVs; my HTC Desire S, for example, is running the Avast Mobile AV whilst it's only single core.

I've been tempted to install a different firmwares (Stock and MODs) but i always end up changing my mind because i can't seem to find my stock firmware just in case i need to flash it back. (I don't want to loose the original firmware)

Currently the only thing i've done to my phone is root it.
Yeah, the phone is kinda powerful but it feel it needs every drop of juice and the battery life is kinda lame if i give it some serious use. By serious use i mean real usage such as web surfing for 1 - 2 hours or some gaming and lots of IM.

    Good to know that!!
    I'll be waiting results :D
