1. PerfectDisk works incorrectly if per-user quotas are being used.

Thanks for the heads up, gonna update and see how it goes. Funny thing is even on new install, PD 2008 here doesn't ask for system file off line defrag.

would be nice if they changed the GUI back. the 2008 GUI is to sparky and looks rubbish IMO.
they should change back to the old GUI and take away the extra stuff like duplicate file deleter etc.
i liked perfectdisk 7 and 8 but imo 2008 version has ruined it.

 

Question... does PD still delete layout.ini?

 

I downloaded and installed it.
The look and feel is identical. The description makes it sound like a few obscure bug fixes. I had never encountered any of the bugs.

 

Yep, I prefer the old gui which is why I still use PD7 on my XP installs.

Rad, is the gui the same as PD7 ?

no the screenshot seems to be wrong. that was posted by someone that put this update on another forum i am on.. the screen shot was wrong ill remove it

 

When I tried PD2008 before I noticed that layout.ini was missing from the prefetch folder after the installation. I had to use "rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks" command to regain it back.

 

Does anyone how to DELETE the "Performance statistics" information on PD 2008?
