Good enough reason ;) Older stuff can still be Very useful etc, as i know myself :) However, you might like to think about using ProcessExplorer and/or Autoruns. Both Free & excellent :thumb:

I use Process Explorer, all the time, but I prefer ewido for terminating, because you don't get a prompt 'warning', as you do with Process Explorer.

Haven't used Autoruns in quite awhile.

Nice job Kingsoft, but i have a problem.I have VMware ThinApp installed and i wanted to make a portable app.I started ThinApp and when the program starts to prescan,KPCD warns me about a run once on startup for ThinApp.It's normal, and i select not to warn me about it and allow. This is when the issue arise.ThinApp is crashing and i have to kill it.Happens all the time, even after i restart the program. When i'm hitting Prescan, the program crashes. And i know it's Kingsoft, because i already tried that on 2 Comodo Time Machine snapshots, one with Avast free and Privatefirewall, and the other only with Avast and Win FW.Happened the same. After removing KPCD,ThinApp worked flawlessly.Could you look into it please?Thank you.
PS.In rest,KPCD works super, but i need my ThinApp to work normally.
PPS.I'm on Vista Premium x32,2.00 GHz CPU,4GB RAM laptop.

I tested it for a while, in short what I like
    a) it is pretty easy to use
    b) impact on system is low

    What should be improved
    c) detection rate

PC doctor only recognised itself as possible startup entry which would improve startup time :)P running a stripped down Win7 Ultimate, so that is correct and reassuring).

Will be keeping an eye on this thread, to check whether measures are taken to improve detection for western world, until then I will follow up the advise of the startup monitor :D

I miss the old "floating bar". it was easy to see from far (use it on my tv pc) when it changed to red was a lot better in my book.

    Just my 2 cents.
