    Hi,

after installing OA Premium, I have an "a2"-folder.
What is it good for and may I get rid of it?

All additional and unneeded language files I put into a rar-container.
Guess, they may be deleted also :doubt:

Except it lags the PC something horrible as a stand alone AV, atleast in my situation.

Hi. I too bought online armor premium at 15 euro only. I found the price relatively cheap, especially considering the 40 usd that it was sold sometime ago.

Of course I disabled the hips, as with enabled hips I am getting a lag which is unacceptable for me. I prefer MD's hips, but this is just my personal opinion. However I like it very much as as plain firewall.

I do have a question though: if I enable the "intercept loopback interface" I am getting unlimited popups that firefox tries to connect to a different port every time I launch it. Is this from adblock? And how can I avoid the popups without disabling the "intercept loopback interface"?

    Thanks

Hi guys, quick question, my Online Armor Premium (even when I was on Free) is using quite a bit of CPU time. The oasrv.exe component CPU usage is currently hovering at 8-12% CPU.

My CPU on this laptop is a Intel Core Duo T2500 (2.0GHz) though it's running @1.0GHz atm.

Do you have any fix or tweak for this?

From my experience Web Shield component of OA is most CPU intensive part of this product. If you experience high CPU usage or general slowdown, then try to disable Web Shield at first place and see if that helps.

That is because there is only one installer for every OA taste, depending your key decides what will be activated in OA. A2 folder belongs to the ++ version.

Thank you to gerardwil and hayc59 for clarifying on the a2-folder.

OK, it simply means it gotta go as I only use the Premium as FF and NOD32 for AV.
Same applies to all that not used language files.

    Hi,

I have noticed strange behaviour of OA Premium 4.5.1.431.

Logging is disabled -> no checkmark in Options-Firewall-Enable logging
Yet there is a folder called Logs, which collects files like 004655FB.dns.
Very suspicous is some of it's contents:
I did not call any bank pages via Internet.
Any info on that one, please?

    Frank

I've been an OA and OA Premium user for several years but had to uninstall the current version a week or two back after suffering very high CPU usage (~45 to 50% for long periods) on my XP Pro SP3 system. (Even after removing and then a clean re-install.)

I've replaced it with Privatefirewall and my system is running smoother than I can recall for a long time. (I do miss some of the features however).

There have been several posts about the CPU issue in the OA support forums in recent weeks.

I noticed that with older versions on XP, but not now with the newer versions on Win 7.
