That explains it, GW and DW are not meant to defend a pre-infected system.

    Little Update:

    AppGuard passes the test!

We are pausing testing while we speak with the vendors - but expect to resume with the final five days by the end of the week.

    Regards,
    Sveta

It's like waiting for paint to dry. :D Looking forward to seeing the final results!

What's your time line on publishing the Dynamic Real-Time Protection Project (#26?) you announced on May 23rd?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Our Dynamic Real-Time Protection Test will be conducted in mid September. So far the list of participants has grown to 25 and is near out current limit.

That is going to be epic! You're surpassing AV-comparatives as a rock solid anti-malware tester!

Hi Sveta MRG, can latest CIS 5 beta be tested un-officially?

    Thanks

The AV and, behaviour blocker and the cloud are not 100% working at this stage of the beta, so it would be useless. And in order to do a fair test they should upload their tool to the behavior blocker cloud and they are not going to do that.

It was tested and it failed. CIS 5 beta gave no warnings at all.

So is it true that you disabled an important layer of CIS and then you tested it?

If you want to protect your SSL connections try Prevx or Zemana, they will score 100% at the end of the test, you only need to take a look to the report to see that there is no much difference btw days so they are testing almost the same everyday.

The videos are on V4, you are saying that v5 BETA also fails. Where is the video for v5?

Yep I saw the video. Do you still remember what you said a few weeks back or was your post just a joke?

I sincerely hope that as a professional testing organisation, you have submitted your simulator to Comodo to help them offer better protection to their users.

If you have not submitted anything to Comodo, this means that you do not not want Comodo to protect its users, then can you explain why you are continuing to test it? Is this a game?

I very well remember what I've said and I also remember what Comodo representatives said. The door swings both ways:)

After all this did you talk again with Comodo? and what they said?

BTW I have read in Comodo forums that they are going to fix the no alert problem in the next beta release.

No, we had no official talks.

I really hope that they fix this issue along with few other issues that we pointed out in our videos.

    Sveta

So Sweta, it is as if you have a malware sample which is infecting millions of users, but you as a testing organisation, you are just publishing everywhere that you can infect millions of users without submitting the virus to the AV companies to help them add detection.

You are not playing your role as a professional and responsible testing organisation!

Soon you will be conducting dynamic tests on security suites, so when you find malware that bypass them, will you submit them to help these security companies improve their products or will you just make youtube videos claiming that you can bypass them and thus leaving their users vulnerable?

This is what you call working as a team!

Exactly, that is why I said "the door swings both ways".

Vendor's job is to deliver security for their users, our jobis to test products and asses their effectiveness. After every test we open our doors and offer our assistance to every vendor with no exceptions.

In Comodo's case, they know what they have to fix, time will tell if they do it or not.

    Regards,
    Sveta

Do the vendors need to pay MRG in order to get help or details about the test?
or you do this for free?
