New Google or IE9 funcionality?

    Is there a new funcionality in IE9 or in Google?
    When i type a search in Google, the results are displayed in advance... pretty cool!

    Intresting, I have seen it for a couple of months :doubt:

    Also, it's a Google functionality, not a browser feature afaik.

    Yes, it's on Google but older browsers can't use it. I don't think Opera can either.

    I use Safari 5.0.5 and I can see it. So what do you consider old? :D

    Safari 4? o_O

    idk man, i just know that a lot of Google's stuff doesn't support older browsers like IE6

    I could see it in Safari 4.... as well, I think :p

    Haha LOL so you mean THAT old, like dead old. :D

    It is Google Instant and has been available since September 2010, although some regions got the functionality a bit later.

    @HM/SweX: Safari v5 was released in June 2010 so, yes, it'll be this version where it'll most likely be seen working well with, and not versions older than this. It might work in an earlier version though, who knows.

    Thanks!

    I´ve found that Google Instant is only available in my Windows administrator account... not in the standard account neither in Ubuntu using Firefox 6 (doesn’t show up under Google preferences). Is this normal? Any way to enable it?

    Opera does, but I think it's pretty recent (not sure how recent because I usually just enter search terms into the address bar). The format for Google image results recently changed as well to match that of other browsers. Either Google made some changes that are more Opera friendly or Opera has fiddled with the browser.js.
