Yes it's still coming at some point but I think they have greater priorities there still improving WSA and Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ Business – Endpoint Protection but maybe Joe can give us an update!

We're still working through what this product will look like but I'll let everyone know once we have something. Indeed, the top priorities at the moment are continuing to develop SecureAnywhere and increasing the functionality of our Endpoint Protection product for Business.

I have many friends who were loyal users of the facebook edition. They used it in tandem with AvastFree, AviraFree. Some even used it with OA Premium/AvastFree. It's been rather long since there was development and well in all honesty they forgot about Prevx now. Some tried out the beta version of WSA but some removed it. Some who purchased Prevx safeonline and cannot move on to WSA just looked the other way and got a suite instead.

I hope this will not take longer. I like that PrevxSOL facebook edition. Used it with CIS and Avira Premium last year. Now I'm back with Avira Premium and OA Premium. I just use the RunSafer of OA.

Goodluck. Don't make it longer....some who are not visitors here tend to forget.

I paid for my stuff from Prevx, and if they bring out free stuff that's any good I'll want my money back.

Worry not. As always, any free version won't offer malware removal, if it finds any; except may not so dangerous ones, as the current Prevx SafeOnline Facebook version does.

Also, don't forget, and this is actually something I mentioned sometime ago, the bigger the user base of a free version, the more malware samples Webroot will have to increase detection of their paid products as well.
For some reason, people tend to forget this little detail. :D

If they bring out free stuff that isn't any good that's when I would get worried. I don't think I ever worried about anybody releasing something too good.

No it hasn't, and it's been moved down in the list of priorities for the time being so that we can focus on other projects.

Kinda dissappointed, have been waiting for ages. Is it so much work then? With Px3.0 it was the same product except for a few GUI changes and malware detection only.

The product-side work isn't time consuming, but it's the "everything else" which is - the marketing material, business justification, license logic, upgrade paths, etc.

So it's that time consuming...? I almost forgot that Webroot was not keen on releasing a free version...too bad..my pals who frequented facebook and loved Prevx already looked the other way. I remember how simple and straight to the point the app was but I guess this is evolution.

No need to bump! May be they're deaf or this is like the conversion of old PrevX3 licences to WSA, it takes ages, "they're studying it"!

As I've said in several threads, if you have a Prevx 3 license and you want to use WSA, just contact the Webroot support team and they'll help you out. We don't have any updates on the standalone Identity Shield at this point, as we're focused on the Fall release which will have a much improved mix of protection.

Noted, thanks for the update! Feel free to close this thread, as it seems that this project has been placed in the back burner.

Yes please close this thread as I'm sick and tired of it coming up the top now and then and then I get excited thinking there's an official update and there never is.

I think you should release a free version if for no other reason than for greater detection capabilities as you will have more information coming in.

This has been a way way too long waiting and waiting and nothing. The users of the facebook edition has lost interest now and forgot about Prevx and WSA. How can those facebook users be interested in the new product - WSA if neither WebRoot does not even have a promo of a 6 month license like the one's that plagued facebook awhile ago with Norton/McAfee/Kaspersky all giving 6 months trial. Webroot seems not interested in giving a free one even on Facebook which as we all know IS an jump-start marketing site.
