112 doesn't seem great. Having better luck with the 113 betas.

Did you notice specific issues? Things that were (or are to be) fixed in the point releases, or other issues?
Good that the 113 betas give you more joy.

112 froze a couple of times. 113 has been stable and seems a little faster.

    Ah, thanks.
I noticed a little sluggishness for a moment or two, but I'm not sure if that was with 112.0.1 only, or also with 112.0, or even with 111. And I cannot tell if it was because of Firefox, or a dip in internet speed, or something else.

I found 112.0.1 to have more issues than 112.0.0. That was when I moved to the beta.

I use ESR, never had a single issue. Sick and tired of the daily updates of Firefox... Firefox Beta 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, RC, then a few days later...Firefox XXX.01..next day...repeat... it's like this browser is always in BETA. ESR does everything I need and I never have to worry about updates for a while.

Yep, always blame the end user, especially when another version works fine and Edge works without issue.

Apart from ESR and beta, there's the regular version, of course, which has a couple of updates a month.

i did not wrote on "users side" - "your side" includes anything. in most cases its windows ;)
i am a bit omni present and so i read a lot, and lot of problems are issued by another software, or windows settings, or firefox settings.
first is to eliminate firefox settings with safe mode or a new profile, then with another OS - in such case - if i tell you i have no issues (and i do run several windows), then it's wise to consider its own side, wherever. dont want to harm you, but to motivate (you) to investigate and not to blame as user always like to blame firefox.

ofc v113 include some fixes where not landed in v112, so v114 fixes issues where not landed in v112/v113. and there are.

in fact i blame messages like
because they are lack of any evidence.
i/we dont know your setup in any way, so we are not able to judge anything. i/we dont know about your abilities. if you speak about bugs you are enforced to deliver facts, or get ready to get "blamed". simple as that.
if you experience bugs, then buzilla should be the first choice where developers are included.
there exists not forum which is connected to any developer, even support.mozilla.org is not intended to fix bugs!

you do not have benefit of fixed issues after current ESR, very simple.
if you did not experienced it yet, be lucky, there exists a lot

Ok, fair enough, and I agree. It usually is Windows.

i'd like to help if you insert some more informations.
my firefox is special designed - wonder, wonder, how, why, its special.
(no special build, but set up special).

windows -> defender no other security software except a firewall. no special settings for windows concerning security or into deep tweaks. win10 or 11, as you consider.

intention is to help, any time!

to grab this again, changes for .0.1
this bugfix only resolves an issue where cookies had a date of 4.138 years.
there is no other evidence between .0 and .0.1
if some experience issues then those have been possibly arrived with v112.0, see link in
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...version-released.361562/page-195#post-3141049

currently i cant find reasons for the upcoming fix .0.2

True if all changes are documented and released to the public. I have worked in the software industry long enough to know that not all changes are documented. Not saying that is the case here but it is a possibility. We may never know. Either way I'm having better luck with 113. In any case thanks for the info.
