Do I need to make new AV packages because the ones that we currently have are pre-5417 patch release? If we install the packages will the clients be susceptible to the same update bug?

    Hello aluminex,

The new clients will receive the latest updates and not the updates which caused issues.

    Thank you,

So... getting to that point there isn't any type of build process or anything meaning any client that never received 5417 won't need to worry about the updates?

I currently have about 200 machines that we haven't attempted to update. Those machines have 5276 DB right now. Are those updates going to hit 5417 before they get the latest update or should everything be good to go for updating those clients?

You will always get the latest definition release which at the time of this post is 5441 without the problems that came with 5417 & 5418: http://www.eset.com/threat-center/threatsense-updates
