Also for some people who were crying loud on QIhoo results.User dependency there comes from download protection. The warning is very stern. It is not signature based.100% of the time if that is allowed The file protection catches it with the 3 engines.

That is one of the complains I have had, they give 3 pop-ups for 1 file.1 for download protection alonside with file detection pop up.

Because of this kind of problems I had to switch back to Windws Defender from BitDefender AV 2014 Plus. Eg. BF 'hates' The Sims 3 for some reason.

Don't know why people are shocked at Bullguard's result. It wasn't doing that well even in the past months.

Because most of them think it should score as good as BD.

I am one of those, and if I remember correctly in the past it scored almost the same as BD.

you do not remember correctly. please compare the other past results of Bullguard and Bitdefender in the WPDT charts and you will see that they were not "almost the same".

You are correct, of course. I was remembering the File Detection Tests of 2012 and 2013.

You cannot know what a shock it is to realize that I have a less than perfect memory. Maybe that is why my wife is nearly always right and I am wrong when we discuss years past.:D :D

    Thanks,
    Jerry
