    Hi Martin,
    That's great to hear, but can I ask, was that on download or on execution?

    Edit: And to clarify, was it WD or Smartscreen Filter that "blocked" the files?

    Working as intended then. We do not scan within archives in real-time. The moment you unpack the archives, we will scan them and block the malware, which is the only moment the malware actually becomes a threat.

    Hi Dave,

    All blocked by Windows Defender.
    No unpacking or executing done by me.
    I never had to leave the browser.

    Windows Defender detects all of them, independent from the browser. Tested with Chrome here.

    Yes the option Scan archives should be activated by default in Avira Free, if it is enabled for Avira Pro ? or not ?!! ( Avira are you with us o_O )

    No, i's not enabled in Avira Pro.
    The configuration is the same for paid-free.
