    Do I understand right that pcIp can be happily used parallely with those many free firewalls? Such as KerioPF for example. So that the free firewall would do port filtering based on application (even for trusted apps), and pcIp would serve as other protection layer with the sandboxing. Was this tested?

    Yes, Patrol will co-exist with any firewall. This is actually the idea as you can see on our web site.

    Since, however, Home Edition provides some basic filtering functions (stealth NETBIOS and several other ports as well as scanning notification), we recommend Enterprise edition of Patrol if you are using it with a personal firewall or if you are behind the perimeter firewall.

    This way you are avoiding unnecessary duplication of functions completely.

    Excellent answer :-D

    That's what I recommend from day #1 unlike Kec ;)

    You will have an excellent protection for what the FW is not able to give the answer allow or refuse Also block the leaktests.

    SSM gives the same kind of protection but you have to make up you mind by yourself. This excellent app take the right decision for you.
