    @guest: It is good choice for non-advanced users who don't wanna answer to lots of pop-ups. Of course, it doesn't give you grannular control over every aspect of the system but if you put it in lockdown mode, you are protected even better! Just be sure to install it on clear system....
    It is more secure that Comodo's sandbox Blocked setting cause it has no TVL or cloud whitelist that you can not edit.

    EDIT: of course it can not protect against keyloggers...it is not HIPS nor outbound firewall. But it will prevent keylogger to install!

    it doesnt protect againts keylogger if you allow the first pop up maybe too late :) i tested this with a keylogger and it fails after allowing the first pop up now with malware defender(hips) it gives you a second pop up after allowing the first execution pop up alert and it detect a keyboard activity,so the only way to block keyloggers is to have it lockdown:thumb:

    Yeah so it still protects against keyloggers but in lockdown mode. That makes sense.

    My question is to developers/fellow members, when in lockdown mode is there anything that can bypass it?

    It can be bypassed if you install it on already infected machine and whitelist all running processes, Program Files folder and Windows files.

    After a reboot it should work fine.I had a similar issue during install but it seems ok now.I am going to give it a few days to see if any other problems show up.I don't have any other security software installed, only windows defender. Occasional freezing, unresponsiveness during and after boot is still there. lets see if other people have similar issues.

    I have to give it to these guys. They seem to be rolling out updates quite fast. He does deserve a break.

    @KelvinW4

    Sorry for the delay, I couldnt reply by PM because I reached the limit of daily PMs I could send. What I noted in Windows 8 is that ERP (and other software that have autostart) takes few seconds to be visible in the system tray but from what I noted it seems normal. Anyway I will dig more about your issue and see if I can reproduce it. I believe the SSD should not be a problem and same Windows Defender.

    Do you run the last Windows 8 RTM version ?
    The problems you have reported appears also after few minutes the OS is restarted ?

    @brainrb1

    Regarding the freezing and unresponsiveness, is that ERP GUI that is freezed/unresponsive or the OS ? And if is the OS was that happening also before without ERP or only after ERP was installed ?

    @ novirusthanks yes even i did notice the delay in system tray,but the ExeRadar service seems to start normally.

    Also i did notice a CPU surge when the computer starts with CPU reaching 100% used by Exeradar service,but that seems to stabilize in 3-4 seconds and everything is normal.

    I tried NVT at my comps and it really goes light. Does free Exe Radar have the same security as paid? I know that free doesn't have the lockdown and trust modes.

    After install OS and the GUI both froze.The first boot was slow and the computer and the GUI both became unresponsive for about a few mins. The second reboot was a bit less problematic since the GUI was not freezing any more but the computer was unresponsive for a short time.My two reboots after that have been fine. I have excluded ERP process on windows defender after a full scan.

    nvt,
    I agree with jmonge.
    It would be very nice and useful feature to have Lockdown mode protected.
    Can you add that option?

    Best regards.

    When I hover mouse pointer over Exe Radar free it shows caption "EXE Radar Pro (x86)". It must be a bug.

    Quick question about NVT. What protection does it offer against exploits?

    Like any AE I assume it handles drive-by's well but what about those that get control of white-listed applications?

    Does it limit white-listed apps in any way like AppGuard or can they effectively do what they would anyway? I guess I'm thinking that if a medium rights app is exploited in memory it can do anything a medium rights app could do?

    Thanks

    Yes it is windows 8 rtm 64 bit. It does not load (even thought the rest of my programs loads. I see EXE Radar Pro in process and service. It would take about 3 minutes for it to start up and then suddenly when I finally see the icon, my computer goes unresponsive.
