Though I'd say 50 pages of that 100 would be made up of siketa posts. ;).

    Later...

    @ novirusthanks

    Looking good. :thumb:

I also think that execution control is very important when it comes to blocking drive by malware.

I´ve been using System Safety Monitor for 7 years on Win XP and was looking for a similar solution on Win 8, ERP seems to fit the bill. :)

Thanks for your answer, but which software is AG?

Regarding VT the method I proposed doesn't need to use the API, you only need the hash of the file and create a link like this
    -http://www.virustotal.com/file/[HASH]/analysis/-
Windows Firewall Control and SpyShelter use this method without any problem.

I would like to avoid App Guard because my experience with it is that is a source of issues. Do EMET and Exploit Shield be enough?

    I think they would...
BTW, we got a RC for 2.7.7.
If no major bugs are found, it should be released in a day or two.

You can always make you app free and use the VT API :D
Or release a free app to use the API and this app would be able to sync with ERP :D

I want to protect myself against memory only exploits, What are some other options, other than EMET and AppGuard, that I can use alongside EXE Radar Pro?

    Anyone have any recommendations?

Doesn't some Firewall suites offer memory protection? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe COMODO as well as Agnitum Firewalls do this.

    EDIT: Nevermind, back to EMET

I have no issues with AppGuard since I use it ( not for a long time, actually ).

I used it more than a year ago, I may give it another chance, as far as I remember was the better security app that I have ever use.

Any HIPS will come with memory protection, another option would be Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit, that currently is in a beta stage.
Actually if you have an HIPS or App guard installed you probably don't need an anti executable.

I have grown a need for ERP on my machines, can't sacrifice it that easy lol. So, because of that, I decided to put EMET beside ERP once again.

    Thanks

Today i formated my PC because i bought a new SSD.

When i installed all the programs, ERP works well and did not stop IE nor Outlook from run.

All OK until i installed this game from Gamersgate.

Warlords Battlecry III (With the Gamesrsgate installer).
    http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-WBC3/warlords-battlecry-iii

After that, when i restarted my PC, the problem reappeared and i can't open IE and Outlook again with ERP working.

    The counter is running.:p

  24. Most HIPS have memory protection, but most of them won't protect you against exploits based on typical heap/stack/buffer overflow misuse or old compiler/programming techniques vulnarable to exploits. This des not mean that the added memory protection provided by HIPS (protecting virtual memory space, dll-injection, etc) is useless, on the contrary it does filter out a lot of intrusions (Comodo, Outpost, Spyshelter, Online Armour, etc).

  25. EMET is great addition for everything, consider adding HitmanPro alert (free) and MBAE (when it is out of beta), you will be fine with NVT than.
