@zfactor not having that start menu issue.

@660207 yes your right, people need to avoid this version if they plan on creating boot disks.

does this version respect the files position or does it restore the image with a consolidation defrag ?

    found cause and fix

go to 'bdcreator.ini' in the program directory (program files) and make sure you have this line 'winIsoName=Active-Disk-Image.iso' instead of 'winIsoName=BootDisk.iso'

edit- i have sent a message to support

    It may appear opinionated below:

I let it run in my Windows 7 (x64) and it's rightful with it and more rapid and reliable than the Acronis True Image Home 2012: because I have been using the Acronis since their version 2010 has come out.

Due to the Storagecraft's support I could try and use the Shadowprotect Desktop 4.1.5 (AUS_ShadowProtect_RE_4.1.5.iso.md5) at the same Windows' platform with SSD (Corsair Force 3 GT 120GB and Intel X25-M 80GB; for solely backing-up) and yet I scrutinized that the Active@Boot Disk Suite v5.4.5 is faster than the Shadowprotect Desktop 4.1.5 for both making the OS drive to the image and the image to the drive.

Of course, the Shadowprotect is a very reliable driver without a doubt, but I would not purchase it provided the current Active@Disk Image is better off in the course of the speed. It did take only about 2' 30'' for recovering the drive above mentioned.

I have problems with my boot cd.
I have 2 hdd partition, first one using by system and last one for my document and which is protected by bitlocker

When i try to restore system and mbr, windows doesnt boot. then, i am using windows cd for boot correction. Is there anyone who has same problem?

    guest,

What error do you see when Windows doesn't boot?

I saw 2-3 days ago but i cant remember spesific error message.
Just i remember, it wants to inject windows cd and run boot correction after language select screen.

I think it is releated with mbr restore, cause windows boot corrector can correct it.

If you are from active@, i can get photo when restore failed and i can sent you.

If you have BitLocker I wonder whether you could have 3 partitions rather than 2. If you failed to image and restore the SRP then Win7 won't boot and will show a BOOTMGR is Missing error.

    Wouldn't the following correct it:

    Bootrec.exe /FixMBR
    Bootrec.exe /FixBoot
    Bootrec.exe /ScanOS
    Bootrec.exe /RebuildBCD

    @zfactor
LSoft has updated their servers with a functional 5.1.3.
    Creating boot-disk is possible now.

    thanks
    i like this software

what i don't like is at least in the prev previous , the image restore because during the restore active performed a consolidate defrag

in short if you move some files in the slow zone of the partition , after the restore these files are consolidate and in the fast zone

might you tell if active does still use this behavior?

    thanks

Hi, not sure if this answers your question. This quote is from page # 15 of the users manual. Seems like active@ would restore in a fragmented state.
    Hope that helps.
