New 2.06p2 version

    I've just tried that and unfortunately it doesn't work.
    The VC 2005 SP1 library has to be installed anyway.

    Thanks for your responses. Each of your links and information was helpful. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of the firewall with SPF rules. The install went fine after installing the Visual C++ 2005. I upgraded the Visual C++ to the 2008 dist after installing LnS.

    One more question: Are there special SPF rules that anyone knows that will tighten security both LAN and Internet security for a computer that is used only for browsing?

    Yes, for instance the DNS SPF rules which allow only a DNS response matching a request, can be useful, even if the computer does only web browsing.
