Never have I encountered such a pop-up error until just a while ago  I was downloading some templates for nero 9 and suddenly in the taskbar a Yellow pop-up box said:

    Windows Delayed Write-Failed

Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\Harddisk2\DP (1) 0+0+45 The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware, or network connection. Please try to save the file elsewhere.

I must add I hadn't saved the file I was using the run method to download and install, which they did successfully :ninja: I'm wondering if some Nasty has gotten aboard my PC o_O

You might check this from microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics...

"Locate the icon for your hard drive in Device Manager. Right click the icon
for your hard drive and select properties. On the Policies tab, is there a
check next to "Enable write caching on the disk"? If no, click to add
enable. You may get a dire warning about this action. Dismiss the error (if
necessary, you can always go back and change it again). Test to see if the
delayed write problem has been resolved."
