    Hi,

Netscape technically should be supported, as the newest versions are basically a rebranding of Mozilla, and use the same profile structure and files. (Thus it would be covered by the Mozilla/Firefox protection.)

However an apparent bug in Netscape can cause the size of the "registry.dat" file (used by Mozilla and Netscape) to rapidly increase, sometimes exceeding 100 MB. If the file is over a certain size, SpywareBlaster won't read it, and thus won't detect Mozilla/Netscape.

To fix this, you'll need to make a backup of your profile (found under C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla on Windows XP) and then rename that "registry.dat" file (found in the same folder) to something else (ex: registryold.dat). Netscape will then recreate the file the next time it's run, and SpywareBlaster should then detect it.

    Best regards,

I followed your suggestion re gettingSpyware blaster to
cover Netscape, Registry.dat had only 3mb in it but I
changed it as you suggested and came up with only 2mb.
Is there any other way to achieve this goal, as Spyware blaster
still does not recognize Netscape, as far as I can tell.
    Thanks.
