I havent cancelled my subscription, yet, there are some shows and movies I watch again and sometimes there comes the odd new TV-serie, but I have noticed the decline of quality of most of their own movies and series. Not to speak of the "foreign" (local) movies and series. They seem to be based on what they see in their algorithms of who watches the shows most, low cost and not upsetting anyone, not on craftsmanship.
I loved the fact that P2P "piracy" rendered in forcing the birth of streaming business, but now you have to have so many streaming subscriptions to find something worth watching. It seems you have to start torrenting again since it is the only platform where you can find everything you want in one place. Funny how it goes :)

The funny thing is that one analist said that perhaps there is simply too much content on Netflix, so people don't know what to watch and switch back to cable TV again. I was also overwhelmed by all of these movies and series, and most of them are crap. If I was Netflix, I would focus more one quality than quantity.

Yeah, I agree. There is too much crap. I have spent way too much time watching different shows in the hope of finding something that isn't made after the same template as every other show..

This must be what you're talking about:

"Streaming overload! Too much content from the likes of Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video is causing 'paralysis' for viewers who take on average 7 minutes to decide what to watch...

21% say eventually give up watching if they are not able to make up their minds

58% of viewers also say they're more likely to switch back to their favorite cable TV channels if they're unable to make a choice about what to watch..."

Yes correct, but I believe I read it on CBS MarketWatch. I sometimes also get tired having to navigate to all that crap. On the other hand, it did make Netflix a succesful company, but sometimes less is more. Netflix got way too big, and that's why you are now seeing all kinds of new streaming services coming up. IMO Netflix should offer 1000 to 1500 movies and series, that's more than enough.

It's truly ridiculous, why on earth would you create 113 new shows. Quality should be the objective not quantity. I've also understood that the reason why Netflix will often cancel shows is because they will have to pay actors more for season 2 and 3, so instead they focus on developing new crap. But anyway, I don't even watch 95% of these new series they are crap! I would love to get access to old skool tv series, now those were the days. Here are my favorites:

Agreed. A few years ago they raised the monthly subscription fee, so I thought: "great, this will mean better content", but instead, things just got way worse. Like you said, it's mostly crap, especially the Netflix created series. Even when they add a movie I like, it's usually one I've already seen years ago.

Hi, yes Netflix definitely have a problem renewing their brand, and many of you live in the US, try to live in Denmark, we do not have the library US-subscribers have.

I cancelled my Netflix subscription two years ago and never looked back, I am now using Amazon Prime, in my country is much cheaper, has better content for my taste and much more perks overall.
