Yesterday I was browsing and I was up to 825MB of ram used. I have a bug now to try Sandboxie and figured I wouldn't make it on this system so I dusted off my Dell 8300 I had laying around and Reinstalled everything on a 80GB hard drive with 2MB of ram and a P4 3.20 with hyper-threading. I am ready now to tear up the internet:)
So far EAM+WSA+CIS and Sanboxie here I come, hope it works out.

I do not want to hear one peep about any new fangled piece of security software that's coming up the pike. Not one peep!

AVG and Avira. AFAIK these only use the cloud to verify/whitelist some possibly false detections.

I'd hope your RAM amount is a LOT more than that! ;)

    Yea I meant 2GB's.
After two hours of being on the net I top out at about 850mb's.
Still leaves a lot of ram left:)
I haven't installed Sanboxie yet so I don't know how much more ram that will chew up.
2GB is sure nice compared to 1GB:)

About 7.5 mb. I'm running FF in a sandbox. Normally it would take lesser.

It sure is. Just ask me. I've to always look out for light and less ram eating apps. It's a annoying hassle.
