    Hi,

I have used SPYBOT and still have the following isses.

I occasionally get a pop up that asks about live time and weather feed.

Also, when I do a yahoo search, I always get these as the first three search results.

    Hi burningleg,

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{37D2CDBF-2AF4-44AA-8113-BD0D2DA3C2B8} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {000020DD-C72E-4113-AF77-DD56626C6C42} - (no file)

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {52706EF7-D7A2-49AD-A615-E903858CF284} - C:\Program Files\NetZero\qsacc\X1IEBHO.dll (file missing)

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {83DE62E0-5805-11D8-9B25-00E04C60FAF2} - C:\WINDOWS\2_0_1browserhelper2.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9C691A33-7DDA-4C2F-BE4C-C176083F35CF} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll",Load

    Then reboot and try again.

If you still have those results then fix this one the same way:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VVSN] C:\Program Files\VVSN\VVSN.exe

After the reboot check again. If this last one is indeed the culprit, could you please mail it to pieterATwilderssecurity.org (replace AT with @)

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Peter,

I have ran the first fix and rebooted, the Yahoo search problem is fixed.

Right after I fixed, but before I rebooted the time and weather pop up came up. I should have grabbed the address but forgot. This pop up is very periodic so I don't know if it is fixed or not.

Should I run the second fix?

    Regards,
    Ben

    PS. Thanks again.

If you are sure you didn't fix too much, you can delete the backups.

I would still appreciate a copy of the vvsn.exe
Because I can se no reason for popups, unless they are coming from a website.

    Regards,

    Pieter
