Need a Date Countdown Program or Chrome Extension

On my iPod Touch I have a very useful app that keeps track of events and tells me the days until that event, and it lets you make events annual so after it occurs it will switch it to the next year.

I was wondering if there is a Windows program or more preferably a Google Chrome extension that can do this.

I would like one you use and would recommend.

 

This certainly may not be what you are looking for, but in Google Calendar settings under the settings-->labs--> there is a "next meeting" setting that can be added that counts down to the next meeting on your calendar.
