I'm having trouble with version 8.9. Does anyone have a link or copy for 8.7?

I don't think version will matter, you have P. Ruleset Installer restricted, remove the restriction and P. Ruleset Installer should configure the ruleset properly ... meaning you must after removing the restrictions, re-run P. Ruleset Installer again.

    Yiiiii.

103 views and no one has a clue what could be blocking the ruleset?

update; I d/loaded a copy of the old version 8.7. Both are denied access to net. Enhanced rule set works fine.

    Here again is my programs:
My XP acct is Admin level. My security is 3 programs. LnS, SBoXiE & Emisisoft 6 AMAV.

How can we go about looking for the blockage? I don't know where to start. I haven't a clue. But its got to be simple. 8.7 used to work. So something HAS changed.

    Help me you guys.

If you haven't tried already, don't use P. Ruleset installer in SandboxIE and make sure to exclude P. Ruleset executable with all the security products that you use and see if that works.

You have to be patient, if you still with the problem and impatient, I suggest to uninstall a security product and reboot and re-run the P. Ruleset Installer, if fails move on to the next security product and continue on until they all are removed.

One thing I know for certain P. Ruleset Installer is being restricted, but then again you trying to use Windows REGEDIT to export also restricted, so some nuisance security app or corruption exists here.

Btw: Are you able to install Windows updates without a hitch?

    windows updates are fine.
I rebooted with SBiE disabled - no change.
I rebooted with AV disabled - no change.
    I'll unistall 1 x 1 & try again.

I noticed this - If I open home page with enhancedRS - then load PRS I'm blocked BUT PRS can see the just previously opened home page and it opens fine as the eRS traced the path for it beforehand.

    Sometimes disabling isn't enough...

Also simply switching between Enhanced and back to P. Ruleset isn't enough, the P. Ruleset needs to be re-installed via P. Ruleset Installer.

I made a update that should complain about your case, if it doesn't complain you might have corrected the problem.

Thanks Phant0m. Seems we is cured. :D I uninstalled / re-installed SBiE and all seems to work. I didn't even have to change settings. Just a SBiE re-install. ;)

    Woooo woooo.

Glad to see it figured out!

Just for clarity, you uninstalled SBIE, re-ran P. Ruleset Installer, re-installed SBIE?

Or did you mean you uninstalled SBIE, re-installed SBIE, re-ran P. Ruleset Installer?

Oh-oh. The glee was short-lived. When i rebooted the issue returned.

    More info:

I uninstalled both Sandboxie & Emsisoft AMAV. No security programs remain except LnS FW. The issue is still there. Both browsers FF & iE have no net access with P/RSet active.

    With P/RSet I get:

Looking up website > page not found. LnS's own ruleset works fine.

The update wasn't meant to correct the issue that your experiencing, the update to have it complain of the particular problem that your faced with.

And to be honest the problem isn't with the P. Ruleset, something is restricting P. Ruleset Installer ... and other things (like seen w/ your Windows REGEDIT).

Remember the command-line that I giving via MntOlympus PM? The one to have Windows REGEDIT export from a particular location, .. you get that working without error then P. Ruleset Installer shouldn't complain, and install properly the P. Ruleset.

REGEDIT > READS: Error opening file. Maybe a disk or filesystem error.”

Everything that was said thus far, if it isn't a security application restricting, then it sounds like registry corruption.
