Currently I have any options to scan for tracking cookies in my anti-spyware/anti-virus programs turned off. I run CCleaner before starting any scans. Is this satisfactory, or am I still missing something this way? Thanks.

If you run Ccleaner than it should clean your internet cache which includes cookies. Just leave the tracking cookies option off.
